A high-level China–Pakistan exchange event focusing on information and communication technology (ICT) and investment cooperation is currently under preparation. It is tentatively scheduled to be held on May 24, 2026, in Hangzhou, as one of the key supporting economic and trade activities during the Pakistani Prime Minister’s visit to China. The event aims to establish a high-level platform to promote trade and investment cooperation, technology exchange, and business matchmaking between China and Pakistan in key sectors.

The event will be led by ICT and the digital economy, while also covering a broader range of priority industries, including fintech, e-commerce, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity. Other sectors are also welcome to participate if relevant cooperation interests exist, such as agriculture, textiles, new energy, consumer goods and manufacturing support, healthcare, finance, and chemicals. The event will also take into account upstream and downstream linkages and full industrial chain collaboration needs, providing a platform for multi-level exchanges and practical cooperation between enterprises and institutions from both countries.

In terms of format, the event on May 24, 2026, will open with a high-level forum, where the Prime Minister of Pakistan is expected to deliver a keynote speech, which will be a major highlight. Senior representatives from relevant Chinese ministries and/or provincial and municipal governments are also expected to deliver remarks. Following the forum, a broader range of business and trade investment matchmaking activities will take place, including enterprise exchanges, business negotiations, and follow-up engagements in ICT, the digital economy, and other key industries.

The participation of the Prime Minister of Pakistan as the keynote speaker is expected to further enhance the significance and attractiveness of the event, providing Chinese enterprises and institutions interested in cooperating with Pakistan a high-level and high-visibility platform for engagement.
